From Auto Parts Trading to Manufacturing — Because We Wanted Better Control Over Quality
LTHJT did not start as a large manufacturer. We started with a small team of just 7 people, working in the automotive aftermarket and learning the business one customer, one product and one order at a time.
As our business grew, we developed into an 80-person auto parts trading company, specializing in replacement parts for a wide range of Japanese and European vehicles.
Our product experience expanded from Japanese applications such as Toyota, Honda and Nissan to European vehicles including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi. Over the years, we built extensive experience in multi-brand auto parts sourcing and learned what professional importers, wholesalers and distributors really expect from their suppliers.
But growth also exposed a problem.
Many of the products we sourced from external factories could not consistently meet either our quality expectations or the requirements of our customers.
For us, simply changing suppliers again and again was not a long-term solution.
We wanted greater control over the materials, production processes, product development and final quality.
So we made an important decision:
Instead of only sourcing products, we would manufacture the products ourselves.
With an investment of approximately RMB 200 million, we expanded from auto parts trading into manufacturing and built our own production operation, which has grown to a manufacturing team of approximately 160 people.
Today, our manufacturing focus is automotive hoses and rubber components.
From rubber raw-material preparation and compound mixing to extrusion, molding, vulcanization, assembly, inspection and finished products, we have brought critical manufacturing processes under our own production and quality-control system.
This transition changed more than our production capability.
Our years as an auto parts trading company taught us something that pure manufacturing experience alone cannot teach:
we understand the product from the buyer's side.
We understand why correct fitment matters.
We understand why stable batch quality matters.
We understand how one defective product can become an after-sales problem for a distributor.
And we understand that professional buyers need more than a low price — they need products they can confidently sell to their own customers.
That is why our goal has never been simply to manufacture another low-cost aftermarket product.
We wanted to manufacture automotive rubber products that could meet the standards we had expected from our own suppliers for years.
As our manufacturing capabilities developed, LTHJT automotive hose and rubber products gradually gained recognition from customers for their quality, consistency and practical performance, giving us greater confidence to continue investing in manufacturing, engineering and product development.
Our journey can be summarized in three stages:
7-Person Team → 80-Person Auto Parts Trading Company → 160-Person Manufacturing Team
But for us, these numbers are not the most important part of the story.
Trading taught us what customers need.
Years of sourcing showed us what needed to improve.
Manufacturing gave us the ability to improve it ourselves.
Today, LTHJT combines two strengths:
Focused Automotive Hose Manufacturing + Multi-brand Auto Parts Supply
We continue to serve customers requiring Japanese, European and other multi-brand replacement parts, while using our own manufacturing capability to develop and produce automotive hoses and rubber components with greater control over materials, processes and quality.
We grew from selling parts to understanding parts — and from understanding parts to manufacturing better ones.
Our next goal is not simply to become a bigger factory.
It is to become a more reliable long-term partner for our customers: helping them develop better products, reduce sourcing and after-sales risks, and build a stronger automotive parts business.
